Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is all about using strategies and tactics to rank higher on the search engine organic results. This applies to all search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc).

More than 40% of purchases these days start with an online search. The problem is that 90% of people don’t click past page 1 of Google. The goal of SEO is to get your to the front page so that you are not losing potential customers to your competitors.

Google has over 200 ranking factors that they consider when deciding where your website is listed in the search results. It takes a lot of work to get onto page 1 but it is totally worth it.

There are 2 ways advertising online:
• Interruption Based Advertising
• Permission Based Advertising

Interruption Based Advertising
These are ads placed on social media, videos or other websites and are usually based on your browsing history and what types of products or services your looked for in the past.

Permission Based Advertising
These ads show up in the search results when you are searching for a product or service. This means that you only see them when you are looking for them. They are split up into 2 groups, paid advertising and organic listings. The paid advertising, in the case of Google, is displayed at the top and on the right side of the search results. The organic listings are displayed below the top paid adverts.

Obviously permission based advertising is far more effective than interruption based advertising. The focus of SEO is to ensure that, over time, you reach the page 1 and can benefit from this very effective free advertising and generate free qualified traffic to your website.

We provide on-site and off-site SEO services.

On-Site SEO

On-site SEO is all about making sure that your website is optimised but including relevant keywords but not too many, optimising and tagging images, regularly adding new content, submitting sitemaps, sharing on video sites, linking with social media sites and, in the case, of local businesses, including localisation.

Off-site SEO

What you need to do in off-site is huge and needs to be done consistently. You need to get your name out. You need to be adding your business to directories, creating social media pages for your business, creating citations and getting backlinks from other websites.

There is a lot more to it and this can consume a lot of time especially because you need to constantly build on to what you have done, monitor and maintain your backlinks, directory listings, social media pages and reviews.

Why not let us handle it for you? We have basic packages available but because this can be very business specific we would assess your needs and develop a package for you.
